Jojo

Inga Paukšte-Urb

Jojo is a navigation device primarily meant for the blind, to facilitate their autonomous orientation. It can be well used by tourists and everyone who is concerned about safely moving about in a city. Street navigation is done with the help of GPS, which gathers the needed information. Then there will be no need to ask the bus number from passers by, or directions – Jojo will tell it all in human voice. Information about the surroundings is collected by ultrasonic sensors, and based on this data the device would guide its owner to the right direction. Jojo is the invisible eye to compensate the handicap in eyesight or the lack of experience and communicating with it would always give the right directions.
