Industrial and smart materials for textiles applications

The usage of new finishing materials opens up new possibilities in developing new fabrics for garments and interiors. The properties of different finishing materials were tested during the master course, as well as their technical characteristics and their aesthetic potential. Among materials used there were silicone, latex, thermoplastic and photochromic laminates and paints.

The workshop was conducted by Zane Berzina, PhD (Latvia/UK).
