The device enables to record sounds while moving around in the city and wandering in the wild. It also features amplified playback, and it is possible to compile one’s own soundscapes. The SMM develops creativity, encourages the discovery of the world of sounds and opens up new perspectives to study it. He SMM is made up of microphones and a control unit for switching the microphones on and off, and a sampler which enables changes to the incoming sound, to loop it or record. The recording function provides for the treatment of recorded sounds at a later stage.
